Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 15–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Lean, dry conditions produce the best growth.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Cut back by half after the first flush of bloom to trigger a strong second flush — this step is essential. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. Cat's Pajamas is a dwarf, very compact catmint that stays under 18 inches — ideal for smaller gardens, containers, and edging where standard catmint would be too large. The vivid, deep violet-blue flower spikes are produced in abundance over a long season. Outstanding for pollinators.
