Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant bulbs in fall, 4–6 inches deep in well-drained, fertile soil. Space 6–8 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is essential- bulbs rot in wet soil.

Care Tips

Water regularly during spring growth and bloom. Allow foliage to die back naturally before removing it- the leaves fuel the bulb for the following year. The large, pure white globe-shaped flower heads can be left to dry on the plant for striking late-season interest. Divide crowded clumps every 3–4 years in fall. Fertilize lightly in early spring as growth begins. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. One of the most striking white-flowered ornamental onions available.
