Ground Hug® Chokeberry

Plant in moist, well-drained to wet, acidic to average soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Water consistently after planting; once established it is highly adaptable to wet, dry, and poor soils. This is an extremely low, ground-hugging selection of chokeberry- far lower and more spreading than standard forms. Little pruning is needed to maintain its flat, spreading habit. Fertilize lightly in spring. The vivid red fall foliage and persistent, dark berries attractive to birds are the primary ornamental features. Largely pest- and disease-free. An excellent, tough, very low-growing native groundcover.
