Vibrant, hot pink daisy-like flowers completely cover the plant in late summer and fall. This tall, vigorous variety adds a shock of bright color when most other perennials are fading.

Plant Alma Potchke New England Aster in full sun with well-drained soil. Space plants 18-24 inches apart. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil consistently moist. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Pinch back stems in early summer to encourage bushier growth and more blooms. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming. Divide clumps every 2-3 years in early spring to maintain vigor. Protect from strong winds to prevent flopping.
