Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0) enriched with organic matter. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water consistently, especially during drought. Prune only if needed, immediately after flowering. Fertilize lightly with an acid fertilizer in spring- avoid over-fertilizing. Generally quite tough and pest-resistant compared to evergreen azaleas.
