Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Cut back to 3–4 inches in early spring before new growth emerges- do not cut back in fall. This cool-season grass grows actively in spring and fall. The upright, feathery flower plumes emerge in late spring and persist through the season, turning golden-tan in fall and winter. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. No fertilization needed. A fine-textured, graceful grass with excellent upright form.
