Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Calamint thrives in lean, dry conditions- avoid rich, moist soils that promote floppy growth.

Care Tips

Water regularly the first season to establish; once established it is highly drought and heat tolerant. Shear or cut back lightly after the first flush of bloom to tidy the plant and encourage a second wave of flowering. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Virtually pest-free, deer resistant, and an exceptional pollinator plant- bees absolutely love it.
