Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 4-6 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established beautyberry tolerates drought reasonably well. For the best fruiting display and a tidy, compact shape, cut the entire plant back to within 6–12 inches of the ground in early spring- beautyberry fruits on new wood each season and responds very well to hard pruning. Feed lightly after cutting back. The clusters of white berries in late summer and fall are striking and very attractive to birds. Virtually pest-free.
