Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained soil in partial shade, spacing 12–18 inches apart. Apricot coral bells features warm, apricot-peach foliage that provides a soft, glowing color in shaded garden settings. The warm tones are unusual in the coral bells palette and provide a beautiful alternative to the more common burgundy and purple varieties. Incorporate compost and water well.

Care Tips

Remove tattered or old foliage in early spring before new growth emerges. Divide clumps every three to four years in spring, replanting crowns at the correct depth. Feed lightly with a balanced fertilizer in spring. The warm, apricot-peach foliage color is gentle and pairs beautifully with blues, greens, and copper-toned companions in the shade garden. The airy flower spikes attract hummingbirds in summer. A lovely, subtle choice for shade garden color.
