Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Little to no pruning is needed- the spreading, mounding form is naturally attractive. If light shaping is desired, trim in early spring. No fertilization is generally needed. This variety turns an attractive plum-purple in winter, adding seasonal interest to the landscape. Largely pest- and disease-free. An excellent, rugged groundcover juniper for slopes, banks, and open landscape areas.
