Plant in moist, well-drained to average soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the season; moderate drought tolerance once established. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. No regular fertilization needed. Largely pest-free. Little Pye is among the most compact Joe Pye weed selections available- staying under 2 feet and ideal for smaller gardens and borders. The large, mauve-pink flower heads in late summer are outstanding for monarchs and native bees. All the native pollinator value in the smallest available form.
