Patriot Dream Rose opens salmon-orange buds into high-centered pink flowers on long straight stems, the classic hybrid tea shape that cuts well and holds in a vase. Rosa 'BAIdre' grows 3 to 4 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 9.
The flowers are fragrant and repeat through the season from early summer into fall.
Hybrid teas are usually the fussiest roses in the garden, and this one was bred to keep the flower form while carrying real disease resistance, so it holds clean foliage through humid summers without an intensive spray program.
The habit is upright and vigorous, taller than wide, which suits the middle of a border or a cutting garden. Give it full sun and well-drained soil, and space plants 2 to 3 feet apart. Shipped on its own roots.
