Aglo Rhododendron

Plant in spring in acidic, moist, well-drained soil with afternoon shade protection and shelter from harsh winter winds. Aglo is a cold-hardy rhododendron with bright pink flowers in early spring. Amend soil with peat or acidic compost if needed. Set the root ball at or just above grade, mulch 3–4 inches deep, and water well. Keep consistently moist through the first growing season.

Remove spent flower clusters after bloom by snapping off above the new growth buds to improve next year's display. Feed with an acid fertilizer in early spring. Keep soil consistently moist. Replenish mulch annually. Aglo is one of the hardier small-leaved rhododendrons, performing reliably in northern gardens where larger-leaved types would struggle.
