Pairs well with

Large light yellow flowers, sometimes suffused with white, carrying 50 petals and a strong scent of fresh fruit, honey, and sweetness. Rosa 'Meikaquinz', sold as Romantica® Moonlight, PP 30,572, grows up to 6 feet tall in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 9.

This is a Romantica rose, Meilland's line bred to put the flower form of an old garden rose on a plant with modern disease resistance.

It won at the Biltmore International Rose Trials, and it sits in both the Scentables and Fragrant Roses collections.

At six feet this is one of the taller hybrid teas, which puts it at the back of a border. The long stems cut well.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the season. Deadhead spent blooms promptly for continuous flowering. Prune in early spring to remove dead or weak canes. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and after each bloom flush. Avoid overhead watering to reduce disease pressure. Monitor for black spot and powdery mildew. The Romantica series is known for its old-rose flower form combined with modern disease resistance and repeat-blooming performance. The soft, creamy-white blooms are fragrant and beautifully quartered.
