Peach Drift® stays 18 to 24 inches tall and spreads 2 to 2.5 feet, low enough to use as a flowering groundcover along a walk, in a container, or over the edge of a wall. Rosa 'MEIggili', sold as Peach Drift, grows in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 9.
The flowers are double and cupped, about two inches across and packed with roughly 35 petals in a soft apricot-peach, with golden stamens showing at the center. Bloom runs from mid-spring to the first hard freeze, and the flowers are lightly scented and clean off on their own, so no deadheading.
The foliage is glossy dark green and the habit arches gracefully, filling in to the ground rather than going bare at the base.
Disease resistance is high against black spot, powdery mildew, and rust, so it holds clean foliage through humid summers with no spray program. Full sun gives the heaviest bloom. Cut back by about a third in late winter. Space 2 feet apart for coverage. Shipped on its own roots.
