Pairs well with

Red Drift® carries small deep red flowers on a plant that stays 1 to 2 feet tall and spreads 2 to 3 feet, low and wide enough to plant as a flowering groundcover. Rosa Red Drift grows in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 11.

The flowers are petite and produced in such quantity that they blanket the foliage, running from late spring through frost without deadheading. The color holds rather than fading as the blooms age.

Disease resistance is good, so it keeps clean foliage through humid summers with no spray program.

Full sun gives the heaviest bloom, and it handles heat and drought once established. Cut back by about a third in early spring to keep the growth dense. Space 2 feet apart for coverage. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 24–30 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the stem.

Care Tips

No deadheading required for continuous bloom. Cut back by one-third in early spring. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Avoid overhead watering when possible. Outstanding resistance to black spot and powdery mildew.
