Pairs well with

White Drift® Rose carries pure white fully double flowers that look like miniature gardenias, opening flat and tightly petaled on a low spreading plant. Rosa 'Meizorland', sold as White Drift, grows about 18 inches tall and spreads 2 to 2.5 feet in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 11.

Bloom runs from mid-spring to the first hard freeze, continuous rather than in flushes, and the spent flowers clean off on their own so there is no deadheading.

Drift roses are a cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniature roses, bred to stay low and spread wide while blooming continuously. They were developed to fill the awkward spots: hillsides, narrow strips along a walk, the front edge of a bed, containers. All of them are self-cleaning, disease resistant, and need no deadheading.

The glossy dark green foliage fills in to the ground and the habit arches gently, which makes this a good choice for edging a walk, spilling over a wall, or filling a container. Disease resistance is high against black spot and mildew, so it holds clean foliage through humid summers with no spray program. Cut back by about a third in late winter. Space 2 feet apart for coverage. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first season. No deadheading required for continuous bloom. Prune back by one-third in early spring. Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Excellent disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. The pure white flowers are clean and luminous, produced in continuous flushes on a compact, spreading plant from spring through frost. One of the most versatile and elegant groundcover roses for brightening landscape beds and borders.
