Pairs well with

Hot Paprika opens electric orange and fades to coral as the flowers age, so the plant carries both tones through the season. Rosa 'FARROWRSP' grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 3 through Zone 9.

Bloom runs from early summer to frost, continuous rather than in flushes, with no deadheading needed.

Zone 3 puts this further north than nearly any landscape rose will survive, and the low spreading habit keeps it in scale for a container, a rock garden, or the front edge of a border.

Black spot resistance is the trait the Oso Easy line was bred for, so the foliage holds clean through humid summers with no fungicide. Cut back by about a third in early spring. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first season. No deadheading required for continuous bloom. Prune back by one-third in early spring. Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Outstanding disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. Hot Paprika® produces vivid, spiced orange-red flowers with a warm, paprika-like intensity — a bold, distinctive color that is unusually rich and warming. Produced continuously on a compact, spreading plant from spring through frost. Outstanding disease resistance characteristic of all Oso Easy roses.
