Yellow Brick Road opens two-toned, with butter-yellow outer petals around a brighter lemon-yellow center, and the flowers fade toward cream as they age so a plant in bloom carries several shades. Rosa 'BAIoad', sold as Easy Elegance® Yellow Brick Road, grows 3 to 4 feet tall and wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 9.
Bloom runs from late spring through the first frost, carried in full clusters at the branch tips and down the length of the stems rather than only at the top.
The habit is neat and rounded without pruning, which makes it usable as a low hedge along a walk, a single specimen, or a mass planting to fill a bare area.
Full sun gives the most vivid yellow and the heaviest bloom, though it takes some afternoon shade in hot climates.
