Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water consistently the first season; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Watch for aster yellows- remove and discard infected plants immediately; do not compost. Largely otherwise pest-free. Double Scoop Watermelon produces vivid, double, watermelon-pink pompon flowers over a long season- the fully double form is unusually full and ball-like. Outstanding for pollinators and long-season border color.
