Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil amended with compost. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the stems.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first two seasons; once established it is moderately drought tolerant but looks best with consistent moisture. This naturally rounded variety holds a very tidy form with minimal pruning- a light trim once per season in late spring is usually all that is needed. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Monitor for boxwood leafminer and boxwood blight; good air circulation and garden sanitation help reduce disease pressure.
