Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep around the base.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought but performs best with consistent moisture. Little pruning is needed to maintain its natural pyramidal form. Light shaping can be done in early spring or early summer- avoid cutting back into bare, brown wood. Fertilize lightly in spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. The golden-yellow foliage is most vivid in full sun. Largely pest-free.
