Compact Hinoki Cypress

Plant in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep. Space according to the mature size noted on the plant tag.

Water deeply and regularly after planting; moderate drought tolerance once established but performs best with consistent moisture. Little to no pruning is needed- the compact, natural form is part of the plant's appeal. If light shaping is desired, do so in early spring or early summer, never cutting back into bare brown wood. Fertilize lightly in spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Largely pest- and disease-free. An excellent, trouble-free evergreen specimen.
