Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Little to no pruning is needed to maintain the narrow, upright, columnar form. Remove any dead branches in early spring. No fertilization is generally needed. The golden-yellow foliage is most vivid in full sun. Largely pest- and disease-free. An excellent vertical accent plant for the landscape- the narrow, upright habit makes it useful in tight spaces and formal settings.
