Burgundy Bunny Fountain Grass

Plant in spring or fall in average, well-drained soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Burgundy Bunny is a compact, dwarf fountain grass with attractive, burgundy-red foliage tones that intensify through the season. It adapts to average to lean conditions without special preparation. Water regularly for the first few weeks, then reduce as the plant becomes established and drought tolerant.

Cut plants back to 4–6 inches above the ground in late winter before new growth begins — this is the key annual maintenance task. The colorful foliage and fluffy seed heads provide excellent ornamental interest from summer through fall and into winter. No fertilizing is needed in average soils. The compact, dwarf habit makes Burgundy Bunny ideal for smaller spaces, containers, and the front of mixed borders.
