Purity Japanese Andromeda

Plant in moist, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0) enriched with organic matter. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Water consistently after planting, especially during the first season and summer dry spells. Andromeda has shallow roots that benefit from steady moisture and cool, mulched soil. Deadhead spent flower clusters after blooming. Prune lightly after flowering to remove spent blooms and shape if needed. Fertilize in spring with an acid-formulated fertilizer. The pure white, pendulous flower chains in early spring are exceptionally beautiful. Largely pest-free when sited in well-drained, acidic conditions.
