Baby Cakes® Dwarf Thornless Blackberry

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5–6.5). Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep. Excellent for containers and small spaces.

Water deeply and consistently, especially during fruit development. In late winter, cut all canes back to the ground- Baby Cakes is a primocane type that fruits on new canes each year, so this annual pruning is essential and greatly simplifies care. Fertilize in early spring and after harvest with a balanced fertilizer. The thornless canes make harvesting easy and safe. A very compact variety well suited to containers, patios, and small gardens. Net at ripening to protect berries from birds.
