This petite, dwarf shrub produces a bumper crop of large, flavorful blueberries in mid-summer. Its unique, elongated green leaves curl slightly, resembling jelly beans, and turn red in cooler weather.

Plant in well-draining acidic soil with a pH of 4.5-5.5. Choose a sunny location with at least 6-8 hours of sunlight daily. Space plants 2-3 feet apart. Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, acid-loving plant fertilizer. Prune in late winter to remove dead or weak branches and encourage new growth. Protect from birds with netting if necessary.
