Bushel and Berry® Raspberry Shortcake® Raspberry

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5–6.5). Space 2–3 feet apart- this is a compact, thornless dwarf raspberry. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep. Excellent for containers.

Water consistently throughout the growing season. Fertilize in early spring and again after the first harvest with a balanced fertilizer. In late winter, cut all canes back to the ground- Raspberry Shortcake is a primocane-fruiting type that produces on new canes each year, so this hard annual pruning is essential and greatly simplifies care. The thornless canes make harvesting easy. An excellent, ornamental, and productive raspberry for small gardens, patios, and containers.
