Planting Tips

Plant rhizomes or potted plants in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the growing season. Fall-blooming anemones spread slowly by underground runners to form colonies over time- divide every 3–4 years in early spring to manage spread and refresh the planting. Cut back dead stems in late fall or early spring. In colder climates, mulch over the planting after the ground freezes to protect roots through winter. Largely pest-free. The soft blush-pink semi-double flowers on tall, wiry stems sway gracefully in the late summer and fall garden.
