Phenomenal® Lavender

Plant in spring in well-drained to dry soil in full sun, spacing 24–30 inches apart. Phenomenal is an exceptional lavender variety noted for its superior cold hardiness, heat and humidity tolerance, and vigorous, long-lived performance in a wider range of climates than most lavenders. Excellent drainage is essential. If soil is heavy, amend with coarse sand or gravel. Water moderately after planting.

Shear plants back by about one-third after the main bloom in summer to encourage compact growth and possible rebloom. Do not cut into old, leafless wood. No fertilizing needed in lean soils. Phenomenal tolerates heat, humidity, and cold better than most lavender varieties, making it successful in climates where lavender often struggles.
