Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Water consistently throughout the growing season. Fall-blooming anemones spread by underground runners to form expanding colonies- divide every 3–4 years in early spring to manage spread and refresh the planting. Cut back dead stems in late fall or early spring. In colder climates, mulch over the planting after the ground freezes to protect roots. Largely pest-free. The semi-double white flowers on tall, wiry stems provide an airy, elegant display in late summer and fall.
