Plant in moist to wet, humus-rich soil. Space 3–4 feet apart- this is a large, impressive native perennial. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch generously to retain moisture.

Care Tips

Water consistently and generously- goat's beard is a native woodland plant that naturally grows in moist, cool conditions and thrives with reliable moisture. The large, creamy-white plumes in early summer are stunning. After flowering, leave the foliage to grow through the season. Cut back to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 5–6 years in spring only if clumps become very crowded- established clumps are best left undisturbed. Largely pest-free and deer resistant.
