Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep to retain moisture.

Care Tips

Water consistently, especially during establishment and dry summer periods- this plant prefers steady moisture. Once established it tolerates moderate dryness in shade but looks best with consistent moisture. Remove any old or damaged leaves in early spring before fresh growth emerges. Divide clumps every 3–4 years in spring to spread the planting or refresh older sections. Largely pest-free and deer resistant.
