Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly throughout the season. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continued bloom and reduce self-seeding, which can be prolific. Cut back to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when clumps become overcrowded. Largely pest-free. The nodding, sky-blue, bell-shaped flowers on arching stems are exceptionally graceful and produced over a long season from late spring into summer. An elegant, carefree perennial for borders and naturalizing in lightly shaded areas.
