Planting Tips

Plant corms in spring, 3–4 inches deep in moist, well-drained soil. Space 4–6 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly in colder climates.

Care Tips

Water regularly through the growing season. In colder climates (Zone 5 and below), dig corms after the first frost and store in a cool, frost-free location over winter, replanting the following spring. In warmer climates, corms can remain in the ground year-round with a protective mulch. Divide congested clumps in spring. The vivid yellow, outward-facing, trumpet-shaped flowers on arching stems are produced in abundance in midsummer. Largely pest-free.
