Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 12–15 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is essential.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Deadhead spent flowers for continuous bloom. Shear back midseason if needed. Cut back in early spring. Fertilize lightly in spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The deep, vivid magenta flowers are richly colored and fragrant, produced over a very long season with excellent heat and humidity tolerance. A robust, reliable, high-performance dianthus for sunny borders and edging.
