Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the growing season. After the main spike blooms, cut it back to encourage side shoots and secondary bloom. Allow some flowers to self-sow to ensure future plants, as foxglove is a biennial to short-lived perennial. Mulch to protect winter rosettes. Watch for slugs in cool, wet conditions. The pendant, bell-shaped flowers face downward on the spike, giving this variety a distinctive, graceful character. All parts are toxic if ingested.
