Dreameria® Sweet Dreams Sea Thrift

Plant in spring, spacing about 12 inches apart in sandy, well-drained to dry soil. Sea thrift is a coastal native that thrives in lean, gritty soils — it will not tolerate heavy clay or consistently moist conditions. Good drainage is absolutely essential. Water moderately after planting and reduce as the plant establishes. It is excellent in rock gardens, seaside gardens, and dry border edges.

Cut back the spent flower stems after blooming to keep the plants tidy and encourage a second flush of blooms. Avoid overwatering or planting in wet, clay soils, which will cause the plant to rot. No fertilizing is needed — lean soil conditions produce the most compact, floriferous plants. Very low maintenance in appropriate well-drained conditions. The neat, grassy mounds of foliage are attractive year-round.
