Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Water consistently the first season; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Deadhead spent blooms or leave seed heads for birds. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Watch for aster yellows- remove and discard infected plants immediately. The vivid, electric fuchsia-pink flowers are among the most intensely colored available in the coneflower world- bold, saturated, and long-lasting in the garden. Largely otherwise pest-free.
