Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently the first season; drought tolerant once established. Deadhead spent blooms for continued flowering through summer and fall, or leave some seed heads for birds and winter interest. Cut back to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring to maintain vigor. Watch for aster yellows- any distorted, greenish, or malformed growth indicates infection; remove and discard affected plants immediately without composting.
