Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring in average, well-drained soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Fiesta Orange produces vivid, bright orange flowers with a dark central cone on a compact, tidy plant. It adapts to average garden conditions without special soil preparation. Water regularly for the first few weeks, then reduce as the plant becomes established and heat-tolerant.

Care Tips

Deadhead consistently to keep new blooms forming, or leave seed heads for birds. Divide every three to four years in spring. No heavy fertilizing is needed. The vibrant orange color is outstanding in mixed borders and pairs beautifully with deep purples, blues, and golds in the late summer garden. The compact Sombrero habit makes this an excellent choice for smaller borders, containers, and cutting gardens.
