Plant in average to lean, moist to dry, well-drained soil. Space 24–30 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Deadhead spent flowers for continuous bloom from midsummer into fall, or leave seed heads for birds. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The soft, honey-golden single flowers have a warm, gentle quality that blends beautifully with other warm-toned perennials in the late summer border.
