Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water regularly, especially during dry spells and the bloom period. Remove spent flower scapes after all buds have opened and finished. Divide every 3–4 years in spring or fall when clumps become overcrowded or bloom quality declines. Fertilize in spring with a balanced fertilizer. Largely pest-free. The near-white, ruffled flowers with a subtle green throat are elegant and refined, making Gentle Shepherd one of the most popular near-white daylilies available.
