Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is essential- candytuft does not tolerate wet or poorly drained soil.

Care Tips

Water after planting then reduce once established- candytuft is moderately drought tolerant. Shear the plant back by about one-third immediately after flowering to keep it compact and tidy and to encourage dense new growth. This shearing step is important for maintaining a neat, attractive habit long-term. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The bright white flowers in early spring are a reliable seasonal highlight.
