Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought in shade. Shear the planting back by about half after the spring bloom flush to tidy sprawling stems and encourage fresh, dense new growth. Without occasional shearing, plants can become open and untidy over time. Divide every 3–4 years in spring or fall to refresh and control spread. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The silver-splashed foliage with deep purple tones is attractive all season.
