Munstead Strain Lavender

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Excellent drainage is essential- lavender will not survive in wet, heavy, or poorly drained soil.

Water after planting then reduce once established- lavender thrives in lean, dry conditions. Shear back by one-third immediately after flowering to keep plants compact and encourage dense regrowth. Shear lightly again in early spring to remove any winter-damaged growth. Fertilize lightly in spring. Avoid over-watering or rich soils, which produce weak, short-lived plants. Deer resistant and largely pest-free. One of the hardiest and most reliable lavender strains for cold climates.
