Spoonful Of Sugar Shasta Daisy

Plant in spring or fall in average, well-drained to fertile soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Spoonful of Sugar is a Shasta daisy with large, pure white flowers and a particularly vigorous, well-branched habit that produces an abundance of blooms. It adapts to average conditions without special preparation. Water regularly for the first few weeks, then reduce as the plant becomes established.

Deadhead spent blooms regularly to keep new flowers coming throughout summer. Cut back by about one-half after the main bloom to encourage a second flush in late summer. Divide every two to three years in early spring to maintain vigor. Fertilize lightly in spring. The large, clean white flowers are classic and versatile — excellent for cutting and outstanding in the garden. An important nectar source for bees and butterflies throughout the summer months.
