Whoops-a-Daisy Shasta Daisy

Plant in spring or fall in average, well-drained to fertile soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Whoops-a-Daisy is a unique Shasta daisy with unusual, ruffled or quilled petals that give each flower a distinctively interesting texture unlike standard Shasta daisies. It adapts to average conditions without special preparation. Water regularly for the first few weeks, then reduce as established.

Deadhead spent blooms regularly to keep new flowers coming throughout summer. Cut plants back by about one-half after the main bloom to encourage a second flush of flowers in late summer. Divide every two to three years in early spring to maintain vigor. Fertilize lightly in spring. The unusual petal texture makes Whoops-a-Daisy a conversation piece in the garden — classic white and yellow daisy colors with an interesting, distinctive twist.
