Scarlet Flame Moss Phlox

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is essential- moss phlox will rot in wet soil.

Water regularly after planting; moderately drought tolerant once established. Shear back by one-third immediately after flowering to keep plants compact and promote dense regrowth. Without this step, plants become woody and open over time. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The vivid scarlet-red flowers are one of the most intense colors in the moss phlox palette- a brilliant display against the fine, evergreen foliage in spring.
